Default Raleigh transfers

Hi

I am near completing my 1965 Raleigh Runabout restoration now and am
trying to decide on whether to repaint or not. My only reason for not
doing so (as it really needs repainting) is that (until yesterday) I
was unaware that transfers are available for these. However, yesterday
I was at the Steam Gathering in Flookburgh (Cumbria) and there were a
couple of runabouts exhibited there in fully restored condition,
sporting brand new paint and transfers! I was therefore wondering if
anyone knows where I might source some transfers for my bike? I would
have asked the owners of mentioned bikes at the steam gathering but
they were nowhere to be seen!

Thanks in advance,

Graham Culley

The Vintage Motor Cycle Club (VMCC) transfer secretary who is/was Alan Jones
at the V.M.C.C. Ltd., Allen House, Wetmore Road, Burton-on-Trent, DE14 1TR.
Tel 01283 540557. Don't know if you've got to be a member though.

I was going to suggest the NACC
(National Autocycle and Cyclemotor Club, for Champ)
But they seem to be tearing themselves apart with petty squabbling.

The NACC does them. I think they're £2.50 each. Transfers man is John
McCartney and you can 'phone him on 01204 697600 (he's not on e-mail).

The NACC actually produces very few transfers itself (just Mini-Motor
and Kerry Capitano I think) - the rest of the range they offer is bought
in from elsewhere. So, they will be available from somewhere else. Bob
Derrick is my best guess.

Bob has a website at http://www.classictransfers.co.uk/
