I've just copped another neg - from the Froggie who sold me the side panel decals billed as genuine, but which were copies (I mean, the backing paper has 'LEXMARK' on it....) I'm philosophical about negs now - my FB on Ebay is approaching 700, and when I come across a twat, I'm not going to think "Oh, if I neg him, he'll neg me back!". I'll tell it like it is But this Morini "gent" is carefully not mentioning faults which he *knows* exist. Anyone else fancy dropping him a few "questions"? -- BMW K1100LT 750SS CB400F CD250 Z650 GAGARPHOF#30 GHPOTHUF#1 BOTAFOT#60 ANORAK#06 YTC#3 BOF#30 WUSS#5 The bells, the bells..... |

I've been watching this one since Sunday, and was going to put a bid in on it (Christ, I'm turning into TOG - 750SS, SO Honda 500/4, now wanting a Morini!), I sent a few queries on Sunday, and got this reply back: "hi alan..no known probs..but it is a 28 year bike..have just taken for 5 mile ride all ok.i live in cheltenham..best regards martin" So, is it worth £650? I reckon so, and I maybe would have gone up to £750, but now having doubts. Alan. -- To reply by e-mail, change the ' + ' to 'plus'. |

Although the clutch oil seals were replaced, it started leaking again, and I very much doubt he's touched them. So the clutch really needs to come apart again. The engine is basically sound. The frame piant is good. The red paintwork is a bit shabby. The electrics all worked. It needs a helluva lot of TLC and several hundred quid thrown at it. Weggy's assessment is spot on, and I can assure you, there's a lot more to it than the seller is letting on. -- BMW K1100LT 750SS CB400F CD250 Z650 GAGARPHOF#30 GHPOTHUF#1 BOTAFOT#60 ANORAK#06 YTC#3 BOF#30 WUSS#5 The bells, the bells..... |

It pisses me off, too. In this instance, I think putting in a bid of a few thousand quid would be amusing, as he'd have to pay Ebay's final value fees on it. |
