Well my mind's eye sees a sort of bicycle with a reddish-brown sort of vee-shaped lump in the middle, in a similar state to those German tanks that got dragged out of Russian rivers. -- -Pip |

A bloke I worked for, in 1987, had a Brough for sale, it was a wreck, but fairly complete - engine, frame, tank and wheels were there, but completely covered in rust, as were any other cycle parts. Another dealer I knew at the time offered him £2000 for it, which was refused, as they wanted £5000. I dont know what became of it, though it may have been kept by the family, as the Dad liked his old vehicles, and could certainly afford to keep it, and restore it to a perfect finish. The UBG ads aren't updated that often, apparently! I bet he got loads of calls though. -- Martin '03 R1150RS (#2) '02 V11 Sport |
