i've recently been making a cb175 road worthy. just got it mot'd. mines a k
reg 1971 i think. mine isn't fitted with a side stand and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if they know where i might get one. also it runs very rich, obviously i could retune the carbs but i believe its because the air filters are too old. does anyone know where i could get more or have any experience of fitting k&n style filters to a bike like this and if it would improve the performance significantly thanks ian |

One the old inners have been ripped out, it is just the right thickness to cut up and put around the inner of the old filter unit. Silicone around the edges and away you go. Works for me. Talking of CB200s, my one has been immortalized on some blokes website. I was chaining the bugger up (Well, it *is* Liverpool..), and he rushed over all enthusiastic and happy "I had one of those years ago. Same colour, everything! Just wanted to check if it was the same exact one. Do you mind If I photograph it for my site" etc etc etc. Nice bloke, and if you are into the whole photography thing, not a bad site either. http://www.taobaybee.myby.co.uk/sunsets_and_bikes.htm Sweet. The sunshine flatters it to be honest. But, by god, it`s loveable. Well, I think so anyway. Loz H |

But if you're really tight you could always use a bit of old carpet underlay. <cough> fred -- www.davidjohnsenior.com www.davidjohnsenior.freeserve.co.uk BuellS1WL CB750F2SS XT500 XL250 remove spamoff to reply |
