Default ebay madness

Sold a coil on ebay back in September. The coil had been working fine
when the LC blew up so I said in the listing that it been working when
removed from bike...

Got an email through ebay tonight saying that "i was about to fit it to
my lc, so i had this coil tested today and i ve been told it is breaking
down under load, proberbly why it was removed can you help"

Who the hell actually gets a coil tested before fitting it? And then
asks the vendor to help 7 months after he bought it?

gah, guess I'll send him a polite email telling him that it was working
when it was removed from the bike.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Bob Scott <bob@bobandaileen.co.uk>
saying something like:

Sounds fishy to me and even if genuine, you don't know how he's been
storing it. Probably in a leaky cardboard box in a leaky shed.

did the listing state that the coil was spare 'cos the bike had expired?
