I've just sold my GSX1100F and looking for a Blackbird, ~£2000 to spend.

I've tried a Bindit, but not impressed. Sat on a Busa and a Grixer, but
they where too small. I'm 6'3" with long legs and a beer gut, what other
bikes could I consider?

sure, and why wouldn't it be, being so much more recent and having
300cc more.

It's not just the power, tho that helps. The whole thing is just a
lot more sophisticatedd.

I've had three Blackbirds along with a use of a ZZR1100 and a RF900
and also owned a GPZ1100. Although long in the tooth now, both the
GPZ and the RF were great value, and can be bought for nothing now.
I'm over 6ft and the only time I have trouble with the blackbird is
when I'm wearing full wet weather clothing and the trousers seem to
trap a nerve behind the knees until I've stood up a couple of times
and got them adjusted. I assume this points to the fact that I've
either got crap knees or they are bent a bit more than is comfortable
on the Blackbird.

I'd agree there. For a tourer, it's a bit of a problem for us
long-legged types. Having said that, it's fine wearing shorts or light
trousers.

Oh yeah. OK, it was very tidy. But £1600 for a 17 year-old bike that was
never wildly popular when new is a tad optimistic, even so. Still, you
might get lucky.

I've already had one knee stripped of its skin. It leathers for me from now
on.
