Default BOSM and paging Blaney

Just a quick note to say how good it was to finally put faces to names.
After starting lurking in 96 I thought it was about time. Thanks to al teh
staff at the BH for putting up with me. I have a few piccys taken on Sunday
morning that I will post up tonight.

As for Blaney, I believe you are PIT#1(Puked In Tent). I was told we had a
#2 as well but I can't remember who it was. As #3 I am happy to KoTL it if
you don't want to.

It looked like all the key players were there; I was rather sad I
couldn't make it.

I did it in September, yes.

He did it before me, didn't he. He should be #1.

UKRM can occasionally provide some good reading, and you don't need to reply

Some people can think of nothing to say, and say nothing. Others can
think of nothing to say, and say anything.

Mainly because I only had read only access at work and I had a very busy
life at home so the only time I could follow UKRM was at work.

Plus it provided many an hour of entertainment when work was mindblowingly
boring.

Why would I be in someone else's tent?

I had a light liquid burp when Jen and Pip rescued me, and a full on
lumpy moment *outside* my tent the following year.

The liquidity of the first instance was down to the fact that the most
solid item of food I'd consumed all day was a pint of bitter.

I really quite enjoyed the Foundation series, the early books more so than
the later ones.

In the ukrm book club thread somebody mentioned Pratchett re-using ideas,
whereas Asimov must be at the opposite end of the scale. He seemed to get
bored with an idea almost before he'd finished writing it down and I quite
liked the scatter-gun effect that it created.

You what? Oh... *groan*

It wasn't a comment on ukrm in particular; people in general do the
same things over and over again, and then act surprised when the
results are the same.
