I posted here a while back asking about tyres with a good combination
of grip and wear for a K1 Bandit 1200. Azaros were suggested and, to me, they seemed exactly what I was looking for and lasted me well over 6k miles for the rear. This time I went for Storms (same thing apparently) and the rear has worn almost to the wear indicators in one 3000 mile holiday. Now, that's not a major problem in itself, it was a pretty intense 3000 miles, all twistie, on/off throttle etc. However looking around, some people on 'the internet' seem to rate the old Bridgestone 020's more highly than the Azaros/Storms. So have things changed in the last 12 months or so? Are Azaros/Storms still UKRMs choice for the best rubber for the gentleman who wants good tyre life and is prepared to compromise a *little* on grip. |

I have moved over to Michelin Pilot Road 2s and love them on the Daytona. 3500 grippy miles and they're hardly worn. They are very confidence inspiring in the wet too. -- Lozzo |
