Yes, I've decided it's time to join in - I want a mobile phone. Cheap
and cheerful, PAYG, reliable, easy to use, with a camera (but it doesn't have to be a good one). Anyone got a fairly decent one going cheap? And my friend wants a cheap, reliable little car - anyone outing one? Reading area. -- Marina Mayes - Reading, UK. To email me remove XX from my address SR250 - gone. That said, my current phobile has a camera (not brilliant, but it does have one) and cost around £40 from one of Orange's retail outlets. You'll probably find that other netjbexf have retail shops TAAW, and of course wibbles. Works for me. You'll need to be fairly disciplined to claim the rebates in the time windows, though. I'm currently on a £35 a month Vodafone tariff, which works out free for 12 months after the final rebate. Come Novemeber I'll cancel this contract and sign up to another one. I got the last one from http://www.coolnewmobile.co.uk/ but they seem to be mainly 18 month contracts now. http://www.hotukdeals.com/ has details of contract & PAYG deals e.g. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/40719...hocolate-nokia The phones are unfashionable but perfectly serviceable, considering the overall cost of bugger all. -- wessie at tesco dot net BMW R1150GS "Wessie is a lovely man with many wonderful qualities" TM Blaney |

Have a look at www.mobileshop.com (been around for years) and click on their "12 Months FREE Deals" thing from the list on the left. Have a look at the phones you're interested in, have a look at the same phones in highstreet shops if you want, check out the network coverage and then buy buy buy. It might be worth noting that some of these "12 months free" deals *may* have an 18-month contract so you need to work out the cost of the 6 months at the end you'll actually pay for and then work it out over the whole contract period. As with most of these cashback deals you'll end up paying the normal monthly fee and having to claim it back. Just make sure you follow wessie's advice on how to do it and you're unlikely to have a problem. -- -- Nick ICQ: 9235201 EMAIL & MSN: nickmooney@spamcop.net -- LOTR#4 SKOGA#8 DS#7 BOTAFOT#159 BOTM#2 FBOTY#06 PM#11 -- GSF600n www.bgn.me.uk - Drive until you lose the road |

Anyone got a fairly decent one going > cheap? Laura's old Toshiba TS10[1] is now surplus to requirements. Not a leading-edge all-time classic, but it's kinda quirky, pleasant to use and free. I think it's locked to Vodafone, and the glass over the camera lens is cracked (although this doesn't show up on photographs).
