Default Advice please!

Would it be acceptable to advertise leathers for sale on this group
directly? or can someone point me in the write direction with a
website.

Would you guys buy motorbike bits from e-bay?

People selling their own personal property seems to be tolerated.
If you are doing this as some kind of business however , expect to be flamed
and have abuse reports sent.

Yes, except helmets. I'd draw the line at used boots also. Don't know why,
that's a personal preference.

I bought a couple of indicators and a rear seat hump/cover thing for
my Fireblade from eBay - very cheap, and in great condition.

your shape IYSWIM

no - the auction got pulled for some reason.

I didn't really need it anyway, but just reckoned a full
stainless/Titanium Akropovic system for 250 quid was too good to not
bid on, IYSWIM.

I've decided that this weekend is seat-conversion-and-new-battery
weekend, and next weekend is indicators and MOT weekend.

Yeah. I found the auction from your description and it did look pretty
good VFM.

On an unrelated note, you're a fan of "Snow Crash", aren't you? I'm
about half-way through it ATM and I just can't get involved in it. As a
rule I never get on with the cyberpunk genre and given how crap the
ending to "Cryptonomicon" was I'm a bit apprehensive that I'm going to
plough through this book just for them to, metaphorically, blow the side
off the mountain and take the gold.

The Sumerian religion stuff is fairly interesting, but it's just not
enough to keep me turning the pages. Is it worth sticking with? Can
you promise me a non-crap ending?

I got that feeling.

The first half of all of Stephenson's books (that I've read) have been
great; fantastic ideas, interesting plots and the occasional bad
joke. But then suddenly this huge societal upheaval happens for
some reason, and then the book ends, with a feeling of "is that it?"

Ah, well, you're missing out. Reading Stephenson and Gibson side by
side (or even, more sensibly!, one after the other), Stephenson just
looks like a wallowing hippo in comparison to Gibson's liquid nitrogen
cooled glass dagger.

rubbish. I think the problem is that the publishers edited it down to
get it over with, IYSWIM.

I find that hard to believe. There is plenty of other stuff that could
have been cut to shorten the novel, but the stripped down ending is
glaringly bad.

FFS, why? It's not as though it'd been editted down to a "sensible"
size book...

Actually, I want him to finish it, and then publish a rant.
He's more amusing when he's annoyed.

mm. I read Neuromancer recently, and it just came across as easy-
listening. I can see how it might have been cutting edge and mind-
blowing when first released, but now?

Just doesn't cut it.

Depends. Describe (in detail) exactly what was worn under the leathers.

Size 10 leathers and boots?

We know a song about that:

.....From your ankles up, I'd say you sure look sweet
From there down there's just too much feet
Yes, your feets too big
Don't want ya, cause ya feets too big
Can't use ya, cause ya feets too big
I really hate ya, cause ya feets too big....
