Nah, I think the opposition takes credit for all 3 of those.

Strangely enough, no.

Actually, it's rather amusing to see Ace and TOG make _total_ prats of
themselves, apparently (to extrapolate) claiming that I go to all this
trouble (eating only kosher, Synagogue every Chabbat, Torah classes on a
Tuesday evening, wearing the kippa, mezouza on the front door, MSN in
Hebrew...) to maintain some charade that I'm Jewish.

Anyone else who tried to convince UKRM that the _blindingly_ evident was
not in fact true, would be ridiculed. But Ace and TOG are in Level I, so
they're cool.

Now allow me to skin up in peace .. c'est dur de faire les deux en même
temps. :-\

I thought your Jewish charade was so you could work in the local Jewish
school
and stay in Paris as the government wanted to send you to the provinces
after you got such bad marks in your teacher-training exams.

Ok, just thought that you ran on a different calendar. Of course you
could be one of the group (sorry I forget the proper name) who accepted
Jesus and stayed in the Jewish tradition.

A bit of cash? More like shedloads.

Authoritarian and not modernist sound fine though.

They're certainly more frightening and intimidating than Des. "And *who*

It wouldn't surprise me if one of them was actually running the country
given the attitude they display.

You must be doing something wrong then. Every time they see me, one of
them seems to think "oh, jolly good, there's this sucker again that'll
pet me and doesn't mind if he ends up getting covered in cat hair".

Well, if they didn't calculate the weight/neck muscle thing properly
it's likely that people would have been decapitated (or conversely
strangled), if the former possibly the heads might have been caught in
baskets.

I've not made a study of such things.

Some [0] of the public hangings are where the condemned has the noose
around their neck, and a crane has the other end of the rope and slowly
lifts them up. That strikes me as grotesque and appalling.

[0] Don't know the proportion.

Especially if they're doing a mass execution and decide to swing about
50 at the same time using just the one crane. I suppose using
different lengths of rope could make it a bit exciting for the last
person in the air.

It's actually quite an art to do it properly, if you've read
explanations by Pierrpoint.

I've said it before - I recommend the Timothy Spall film about
Pierrepoint.
