Quite understandable, She needs a holiday as well. My Mrs doesn't like bikes at all but she also has ancestry on the Island so she does her own thing which works out quite well. That's one way. For those of us living in the Western Civilised Zones, the thing to do is to get an overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg/Le Havre/Caen/St Malo.
