I suppose it would increase the chances of this poem's publication in
Canada if I made them Canadian cats. (How does "Three Cats Drowned in
Trois Rivieres" sound?) But only from zilch to almost zilch.

Just trying to write something that (AFAIK) has never been written
before. Which worked, IMO; it's far more effective written than as a
verbal joke.

I'll admit that, when I close my eyes and think about the poem, I can
imagine the Count as the speaker.
