I've also heard the elephant god called Ganesha. 'Ganesha Girl'
sounds really nice to my ears.

OK; in that case I'd suggest either arabic or lower-case roman
numerals (upper case Roman would look too pretentious). You might
want to keep the ellipses anyway ...

Ganesha girl can dance.
Although she cannot fly,
she spins a into a trance
like Dumbo in the sky.

Ganesha girl can sing
an old-fashioned ghazal.
Her pretty words take wing
so like the bulbul's call.

Ganesha girl is large
but graceful on her feet.
She flows just like a barge,
and never takes her seat.

more trimeter.

ghazal = Urdu love poem
bulbul = song bird native to asia

I could escape this feeling, with my Ganesha girl
I feel a wreck without my, little Ganesha girl
I hear her heart beating, loud as thunder
Saw the stars crashing

Im a mess without my, little Ganesha girl
Wake up mornings wheres my, little Ganesha girl
I hear hearts beating, loud as thunder
I saw they stars crashing down

most sincerely,

So's this:

I bring you with reverent hands
The books of my numberless dreams;
Ganesha, that passion has worn
As the tide wears the dove-gray sands,
And with heart more old than the horn
That is brimmed from the pale fire of time:
Ganesha, with numberless dreams
I bring you my passionate rhyme.

Jinn told me the other day that playing with something already
written, changing the words and images, was a good way to overcome
writer's block. Perhaps tomorrow you can try changing two words.

No, I don't want that. I don't want to get mad at you, either. Like
the President in /Mars Attacks/, my motto is, "Why can't we all

Is missing 2 contractions and substituting "they" for the
in the last 4 line stanza a stick?

Did he suggest taking a shower? Did he suggest getting a haircut? Did he

No, but I did "Attribute" them. Plus they are doing other things
like drugs or rehab...

Fact is, I still think that the court case is completely vacuous.
You've heard it: "Even if I had cut/pasted her whole poem"
(which I never did) the most that she could possibly sue for is
covered in copyright law, which is exactly $0.00)

Her attorney will serve me with their "Evaluation Conf."
summary by June13th.

I have a week to respond with my my reply. All in email.

Or no internet access in the retirement home...

The whole thing will be done in email or will it eventually wind up "in
person"?

Thus, we can see how the
series of Dockery's images breaks
down into a vaguely-
directional trail of
uncongealing goo, their
few remaining threads slowly
sagging to the ground across the
bleak /noir/ landscape of his
sad pseudoexistence and
turns into
a park.
