The disappointment has to do with having an alcoholic two weeks into recovery, if that, for a baby daddy. The disappointment was over the ex not answering the phone twice this morning after I told him I would call him when I got up so we could go to the picnic together, we had agreed upon that last night. I ended up taking our daughter to the meeting and then he contacted me this afternoon. So I had him take her, I could not go, I am so tired and let down. He apologized, he had drama in his life last night. I talked at length about this with a friend after the meeting. So that is the kind of disappointment I want to read about. Oly |

Bring it on. As for the poem on /disapointment/, I instantly thought of the great Lloyd Cole's "Rattlesnakes": Rattlesnakes Jodie wears a hat although it hasn't rained for six days she says a girl needs a gun these days hey on account of all the rattlesnakes she looks like Eve Marie Saint in on the Waterfront she reads Simone de Beauvoir in her american circumstance she's less than sure if her heart has come to stay in San Jose and her neverborn child still haunts her as she speeds down the freeway as she tries her luck with the traffic police out of boredom more than spite she never finds no trouble, she tries too hard she's obvious despite herself she looks like Eve Marie Saint in on the Waterfront she says all she needs is therapy, yeah all you need is, love is all you need Jodie never sleeps 'cause there are always needles in the hay she says that a girl needs a gun these days hey on account of all the rattlesnakes she looks like Eve Marie Saint in on the Waterfront as she reads Simone de Beauvoir in her american circumstance her heart is like crazy paving upside down and back to front she says ooh, it's so hard to love when love was your great disappointment -Lloyd Cole -- "Ozone Stigmata" by Will Dockery-Henry Conley (video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxfl_7KvFcc "The Ride (Combat Zone)" by Will Dockery-Dennis Beck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxfl_7KvFcc |
