Default Used tea leaves as animal feed/treat

Greetings --

I am a dedicated tea drinker, and am currently writing a book on tea
which has a chapter on uses for used/spent tea leaves (or tea bags). I
would really appreciate some help here -- I don't want to offer uses
which may, in fact, be detrimental to an animal's health.

For example: I have read that mixing used/spent tea leaves with a
rabbit's regular feed is a nice treat for the rabbit -- does anybody
have any experience with this?

I have also have heard of giving cows the leaves, but I don't know if
this is a regular practice -- or if this is a good idea for the cow.
Does anybody know?

Someone also mentioned to me that he has a Dutch friend who uses used
tea leaves to "freshen" his fishpond. Anybody know anything about
this?

Also, if you know of any other uses for used/spent tea leaves as
regards animals (pets or otherwise), I would love to hear about it.

Thanking you in advance!
