Having said that, she does look lovely, doesn't she? We decided after our mini long daxie died we wouldn't get any more. We thought about it tonight, again, and came to the same conclusion (I might just work on my Mum though, as our dogs ain't young 'uns so it isn't like getting a pup in. My reserve atm with that though, is that we have a JR, and how would the mini smooth fit in? Because IIRC they can be quite fiesty. -- Lesley CBR600FW SBS#11 (with oak-leaf cluster) BOTAFOT#101A UKRMHRC#12 BONY#54P BOB#18 Real burds don't take hormones, they rage naturally |

That would stop responsible breeders but people let there dogs have pups for all sorts of reasons, some because they think it will be fun to have pups, others because because they can still sell them , papers or not. Obviously Rana will have to trust her judgement on the dogs new owners but people promise things and don't always keep their promises. She is lovely , I wish I could have another dog. Alison |

Unfortunately, it's true that it won't stop everyone from using her to breed from, but the value of the pups *should* be reduced without the relevant papers. Anyone who thinks breeding is an easy thing to do is a mug, a friend of mine (who still shows her daxies) has been breeding for many years and she always seems to have problems with whelping, and she isn't green to the breeding game. > Obviously Rana will have to trust her judgement on the dogs new > owners but people promise things and don't always keep their promises. Indeed she will, some people will say anything to get the dog and then do exactly the opposite. > She is lovely , I wish I could have another dog. Well, I've thought about it but have decided against it. Even a dog of this age could have another decade ahead of her (going by our now departed 19 yo and our current 14 yo). -- Lesley CBR600FW SBS#11 (with oak-leaf cluster) BOTAFOT#101A UKRMHRC#12 BONY#54P BOB#18 Real burds don't take hormones, they rage naturally |

Take a look in the loot. Even crossbred small pups like yorkie X lhasa are going for £250. > > Anyone who thinks breeding is an easy thing to do is a mug, a friend of > mine (who still shows her daxies) has been breeding for many years and > she always seems to have problems with whelping, and she isn't green to > the breeding game. You would imagine that she would give up breeding a strain which has whelping problems wouldn't you? |
