Default Re: "After Numerous Training Classes, Behavioral Consultations, And Hundreds Of Dollars In Vet Bills, I Killed My Dalmatian Several Years Ago Due To Extreme Dog-Aggressiveness."

I cant beleve some of the posts on here about dogs. Lets face it, some
of you are just dog abusers. Thats the bottom line. You CANNOT get
positive behavior out of a dog by beating them with a stick. You may
get the behavior you want at the time, but it is because they are
terrified you are going to hit them. It's like hitting a baby. Dogs are
very intelligent and they know who truely loves them and who does not.
I do agree with the "scruff shake" because it is how most police dogs
are trained. You do not hold your dog in mid air to shake them. You
plant their butts on the ground, take ahold of the back of their scruff
and give it a little shake. Dont rattle their brains out of their
heads. And dont shake so hard that you give them shaken puppy syndrome.
It is a dominant trait found in packs of dogs. The alpha dog will grab
a noncompliant dog by the scruff and shake. They will also knock an
uncompliant dog over onto his back and hold him down while maintaining
eye contact. I only recommend these training tactics on bigger pack
dogs eg. (Malamutes) who are very very very stubborn and require
guidance from the pack leader (you). Smaller dogs will become scared.
Small dogs do very well with positive reinforcement. So dont go around
whacking your dogs with a stick (u sickos). Stick with the basics. Your
dog will respect, love, charish, and want to please you. If your dog is
eager to please you and you havent beat him to get him that way, then
you did a good job with training.
