Today's Metropolitan Diary includes a letter describing a
conversation with a woman who had called her psychiatrist at 3 AM. The woman was concerned about her dog who had eaten antidepressants which the psychiatrist had prescribed for the woman. Towards the end of the conversation the psychiatrist noted that the dog would probably be OK, but suggested, to be on the safe side, that the woman call her veterinarian. To this the woman responded, "At this hour? Are you crazy?" The letter was submitted by a Dr. Ike Herschkopf. |
